he Boyfriend
is the hugely successful Sandy Wilson musical first performed in the West End in 1954. It opened London's Players Club on 14th April of that year, and re-opened in an expanded version on 13th October before moving to the West End proper.

The Boyfriend is a comic pastiche of 1920s shows with songs including:

A Room in Bloomsbury • I Could Be Happy With You • It's Nicer in Nice • Sur Le Plage • Won't You Charleston With Me? • It's Never Too Late To Fall In Love • The Riviera
