Salad Days proved to be a roaring success with our audiences with lovely comments coming from all round - some commenting it was the best show they'd seen! Likewise, the cast thoroughly enjoyed themselves and had a wonderful time with this little-known, jolly and very funny show. It proved a struggle to sell all 4 performances, but the whole cast really appreciated a fantastic reception at each night. Scroll down for some pictures from the Dress Rehearsal! (Unless you have broadband it will take about 60 seconds for all of them to show - but it's worth the wait!)

For Havering Music Makers' production:

Director - Martyn Harrison
Musical Directors - Malcolm Swan and Malcolm Ball
Choreographer - Christine Presland.

Salad Days is a light-hearted, comedy musical based on the newly graduated pair Jane & Timothy. Jane is in search of marriage and Timothy in search of a career, but it is a magical piano called Minnie which takes them on an enchanted adventure by compelling people to dance!! Add into the pot some of Timothy’s more eccentric uncles, a loveable mute named Troppo, the raunchy Asphinxia, a “saucy saucer” and a host of others, and then add songs such as “We’re Looking for a Piano”, “I Sit in the Sun” and of course, “We Said We’d Never Look Back” and the result is a wealth of comical situations and a wonderfully jolly musical!
