Havering Music Makers

Previous Shows - Trial By Jury & The Gondoliers

A full production of
Trial By Jury
and excerpts from
The Gondoliers

QUEEN'S THEATRE
Billet Lane, Hornchurch, Essex
Sunday 27th January 1985
Evenings 7.45pm

Music by Arthur Sullivan
Lyrics by William Gilbert

Trial By Jury
is the shortest of the Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, lasting only 45 minutes, which means it's great to do as you can often perform 2 shows for the price of 1!! In this case, HMM also performed a concert version of excerpts from The Gondoliers.

Some of the songs from the two operettas include:

The Judge's Song (When I Good Friends...) • Hark The Hour Of Ten Is Sounding •
A Nice Dilemma • Dance A Cachucha • When A Merry Maiden Marries •
Take A Pair Of Sparkling Eyes We're Called Gondolieri

For Havering Music Makers' production:
Producer (Trial By Jury) - Paul Lazell
Producer (The Gondoliers) - Maurice Williams
Musical Director - Alan Steel
Rehearsal Accompanist - Jeremy Prentice

Havering Music Makers are an amateur society affiliated to The National Operatic and Dramatic Association and acknowledge the support of Havering Arts Council
