The Variety Show
was something a little bit different for Havering Music Makers. The idea was to re-introduce a 3rd show per year and make it a "smaller-affair" show. Members would be free to audition their own "party piece" and then a show would be put together and performed around this. Throw in some chorus numbers and there would be your show!

This novel approach proved hugely successful with the company and the audience and is something that we have done every year it has been possible, though venues and scale has sometimes changed. It is also a great chance for members of the company to Direct, Musically Direct or Choreograph as we encourage members of the group to be the Production Team!

This first show, starting off a regular slot at Campion School included:

Two Little Boys • Albert And The Lion • Second Hand Rose • I Know Him So Well • Master Of The House • True Love • America • Grease Lightning • Pretty Baby

The  Havering Music Makers Production Team was:
Production - Scott Harris, Jim Lion, Judy Munford & Meryl Spinks
Accompanist - Stuart Rush
Choreographer - Nichola Tawn

Havering Music Makers are an amateur society affiliated to The National Operatic and Dramatic Association and acknowledge the support of Havering Arts Council
